While condemning the initiation of a new inquiry against Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb termed the move a wicked NAB-Niazi nexus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing to the media persons on Thursday, Ms Aurangzeb said that the government’s decision to open a new probe against Shehbaz Sharif was an uncouth attempt on part of Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi and NAB to harass the PML-N president.
She was of the view that Niazi-NAB nexus had been exposed to the people and in the courts during the last three years. Imran’s fabricated narrative of money laundering and so-called accountability has been destroyed but the fire of jealousy is still burning, she added.
Ms Aurangzeb asked the NAB-Niazi nexus if they couldn’t see the flour, sugar, electricity, gas, and LNG scandals. She took the NAB executive board to task for condoning Rawalpindi Ring Road and drug scams.
She lamented that NAB also ignored the case of pricy LNG and a deliberate delay in its purchase. She said that NAB closed its eyes on Imran’s helicopter case and theft of medicines.
National Accountability Bureau on Wednesday opened a new case of misusing the authority against the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.
The NAB has started inquiries against Shehbaz for transferring government land to his blue-eyed in Bahawalpur during his tenure of chief minister-ship in Punjab.
As per the case reported, the PML-N president was being considered accused of transferring government land in Bahawalpur Satellite Town among his favourities by misusing the post of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
The NAB authorities had also started an inquiry against former parliamentarian Baligh-ur-Rehman and former commissioner Bahawalpur Atif along with the opposition leader.
