Strong earthquake jolts many KP cities

A powerful earthquake measuring 5.4 on Richter Scale jolted a number of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities on Saturday morning, but so far there was no report of any damage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), tremors were felt in Shangla, Takhtbhai, Swat, Lower Dir, Kurram, Swabi, and surroundings as the quake struck at 8.06 am.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in southeastern Afghanistan at a depth of 150 kilometres under the ground.
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
