UK opens Chevening Scholarship applications for Pakistani professionals
The United Kingdom has officially opened applications for its prestigious Chevening Scholarships, offering young and mid-career professionals from Pakistan and around the globe a fully funded opportunity to pursue master’s degrees at leading UK universities.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, announced on Tuesday, highlighting the UK government’s continued commitment to fostering leadership, academic excellence, and global collaboration through education.
“Chevening is a launchpad for Pakistan’s future leaders,” she said, encouraging qualified applicants to seize the opportunity and contribute to their country’s development upon their return.
Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) along with partner organizations, the Chevening program covers all major expenses associated with postgraduate study in the UK. This includes full tuition fees, visa charges, return flights, accommodation, and a monthly living stipend, making it one of the most comprehensive international scholarship packages offered globally.
The scholarship targets mid-career professionals with at least two years of work experience in any field and aims to nurture leadership potential, strong academic credentials, and a commitment to positive change.
Successful applicants will join a global network of over 55,000 Chevening alumni who have gone on to become influential leaders in government, business, media, civil society, and academia.
Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year are now open and will be accepted until October 7, 2025.
Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official Chevening website and meet all eligibility criteria, including academic qualifications, English language proficiency, and a strong professional track record.
Since its inception, the Chevening program has played a transformative role for many Pakistanis, enabling them to access world-class education and return with the skills and networks necessary to drive change in their communities and professional spheres.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to begin the process early, as the selection procedure is rigorous and highly competitive.
