Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has a hard and fast ground rule for three of her children and they are not allowed to break it at any cost.
A source who is a royal insider stated that Kate Middleton has an “absolutely off limits” ground rule for three of her children George, Charlotte and Louis who are nine, seven and four years old respectively. The rule is that no shouting is allowed in the house.
The source said that “Shouting is absolutely off limits for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal.” The royal couple reportedly choose a rather different approach when it comes to disciplining their children. Rather than being sent to their bedroom or the 'naughty step', the children are taken away from the scene of the row or disruption and talked to calmly by either of the parents. Things are explained and consequences are outlined. The parents never shout at the children. Other revelations have also been done about Kate and William's parenting techniques, one of them saying that the royals are 'very strict on screen time'.
The Princess of Wales is reportedly very keen to encourage creativity in her children and they are not allowed their own mobiles or tablets. A source said that “The emphasis during this time will be on arts and crafts, painting and doing things that aren’t screen-orientated.”
The princess believes that spending time outdoors plays a pivotal role in children's future health and happiness, building foundations that last through childhood and over a lifetime. Kate is very keen to find ways to encourage this.
