Fire erupts at godown of plastic items in Karachi 

The fire that had erupted at a godown of plastic goods near Noman Kanta at Sher Shah Akbar Road in Karachi on Thursday was finally doused, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Soon after learning about the incident, firefighters of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze.

The fire brigade officials said that so far, no life had been lost in the incident.

Rescue 1122 officials said that the cooling process was underway after extinguishing the fire.

On the night of January 17, a major fire had broken out at Karachi’s Gul Plaza, which claimed the lives of 80 people and led to calls for a thorough investigation into the incident so that those responsible for it could be brought to justice and such incidents could be prevented from recurring in future.
