Two people, including a woman, were killed when a car carrying bride and bridegroom crashed into a tractor trolley in Layyah’s tehsil Chobara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The bride and bridegroom and two others were seriously injured in the accident that took place on Faisalabad Road near Hayat Mines.

The dead and the injured were shifted to Tehsil Hospital, Chowk Azam while two critically injured were later referred to Multan’s Nishter Hospital.

The treatment of the bride and a four-year-old girl Zainab was continuing till the last reports came in.

The driver of the car who was also killed in the incident was identified as Muhammad Rizwan while the woman as Samina Bibi, who is told to be the bridegroom’s mother-in-law.

The marriage party was returning from Sialkot to Chak No. 155 Chowk Azam that it met an accident.

Those injured in the accident told police that the accident took place as the car’s driver had dozed off.
