Mohsin Naqvi congratulates Nepal for winning ACC U-16 East Zone Cup 2025
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president, Mohsin Naqvi, has extended congratulations to the Nepal Under-16 cricket team after their victory in the ACC Under-16 East Zone Cup 2025, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
In a nail-biting final, Nepal U-16 beat Singapore U-16 by two wickets to clinch the prestigious title.
Praising Nepal's triumph, ACC President Mohsin Naqvi lauded the team for their hard work, talent, and exceptional teamwork.
“The dedication and spirit displayed by the Nepal U-16 team are truly commendable. They have made their nation and all of us in the Asian cricket fraternity proud,” he said in an official statement.
Naqvi also acknowledged the strong performance of the Singapore U-16 side, congratulating them on reaching the final and for their spirited contest.
“I would like to commend the Singapore team as well for their excellent journey throughout the tournament and their thrilling performance in the final,” he added.
He further expressed his gratitude to the Malaysia Cricket Association for hosting the tournament successfully and with great professionalism.
“The Malaysia Cricket Association deserves appreciation for their outstanding efforts in organizing the event,” he stated.
