US, Pakistan open counterterrorism dialogue tomorrow
American team arriving Pakistan: Both countries will discuss shared terrorist threats and develop policy-oriented strategies regarding cooperation in critical areas such as border security and countering the financing of terrorism
A US delegation is arriving here on Sunday to take part in the two-day Pakistan and US Counterterrorism Dialogue starting from tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the US State Department, “Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism Christopher Landberg will lead a US interagency delegation to Pakistan March 6-7 to participate in the Pakistan-US Counterterrorism Dialogue. The United States and Pakistan will discuss the shared terrorist threats facing our two countries and develop policy-oriented strategies regarding cooperation in critical areas such as border security and countering the financing of terrorism.
According to sources, the US-Pakistan defence talks, held in Washington last month, also focused on issues like counterterrorism, terrorism financing and intelligence sharing.
