The post-mortem report of SAMAA news channel reporter Imtiaz Baig, who was reported to have been beaten to death, revealed Friday that the head injury and excessive bleeding after a fall from height was the cause of his death, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the rescue sources, the bloodied body of the journalist had been found near his house the other night.

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the inspector general of police (IGP) had taken notice of the incident and sought a report on the incident.
