Over 400,000 inter students failed to pass annual examinations

The Intermediate Coordination Commission (IBCC) released countrywide data of failed students, which showed that more than 400,000 students failed to clear the intermediate examinations in 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The data showed that the majority of failed students belonged to Punjab province. 759,431 students from nine educational boards participated in the annual examinations, out of which 270,068 failed to pass the intermediate examinations.

As many as 282,585 students from eight educational boards of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) appeared in the annual examinations, out of which 5316 students failed.

As many as 380,013 students from six educational boards of Sindh took part in the annual examinations, out of which 53034 failed to clear the examinations.

About 3,147 students of the Quetta board failed in the intermediate examinations, while 54456 students took part in the annual examinations.

As many as 100,993 students from the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education appeared in the annual examinations, out of which 17,319 failed.

About 48,031 intermediate students appeared in the annual examinations, out of which 48031 failed.
