Medical students on Tuesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC), seeking apex court’s suo moto notice of Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) so that the issues confronting them could be resolved and the future of country’s health sector could be made secure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The petition read that millions of students could not get admissions in medical colleges this year due to the MDCAT. “Last year, too, 0.1 million students had remained deprived of admissions,” it said, adding millions of families would be affected if students’ concerns over the admission test were not addressed.
