Police, security forces repulse terrorist attack on police station in D I Khan

Police and security forces repulsed a terrorist attack on Kulachi police station in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, no damage or loss of life was reported, and a search operation was launched in the area.

On Sunday last, a police constable was martyred in a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Mianwali in the wee hours.

The firing incident had taken place at the Kundal patrolling post in Esakhel, Mianwali, falling just a kilometer from the Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) border.

Head Constable Haroon Khan of the patrolling police embraced martyrdom in the firing of terrorists while two terrorists were also killed in a retaliatory firing by the police.

The police claimed the terrorists belonged to the Tipu Group of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were identified as Zubair Nawaz and Muhammad Khan.
