Pakistan’s textile exports surge by 33.7pc to $1.69b in July 2025

Pakistan’s textile exports registered a 33.7 percent growth in July FY 2025-26, reaching $1.69 billion, up from $1.27 billion in the same month of FY 2024-25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the data released by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA),  textile exports stood at $1.47 billion in July 2021-22, $1.48 billion in 2022-23, $1.31 billion in 2023-24, and $1.27 billion in July 2024-25.

Last year, Pakistan’s textile exports grew by 7.39%, reaching $17.887 billion, compared to $16.656 billion in FY 2023-24. 

Key contributors to this growth included knitwear, which saw a 13.68% increase in exports to $5.01 billion, and bed wear, which rose 11.07% to $3.11 billion.

Towel exports reached 226,335 metric tons valued at $1.082 billion during the fiscal year 2024-25, showing an increase from 222,720 metric tons worth $1.055 billion in the same period of the previous year. 

Meanwhile, ready-made garment exports grew by 15.85 percent, with over 80,147 thousand dozens exported, valued at $4.128 billion in FY 2024-25, compared to 75,754 thousand dozens worth $3.563 billion in the previous year.

Exports of art, silk, and synthetic textiles also increased by 8.80%, with 83,918 metric tons worth $399.515 million exported in FY 2024-25, compared to 82,876 metric tons valued at $367.199 million the previous year.
