Nationwide cases against Imran Khan soar to 188
Punjab tops list in cases against PTI founder; Legal troubles mount for PTI founder with FIA, NAB inquiries
The number of cases registered against the former premier and Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan Niazi across Pakistan has risen to 188, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Friday.
According to the Interior Ministry's report, Punjab leads with 99 cases, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has only two cases against the cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.
In Islamabad, the police have confirmed 76 cases filed against the PTI founder. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has reported seven pending enquiries, while the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is investigating three cases involving the leader.
Additionally, the Toshakhana criminal case, in which the PTI founder was sentenced, remains under appeal, adding to his legal troubles.
The channel also reported that multiple cases were registered against him in October and November in connection with his party protests during this period.
