Three killed in clashes between rival groups in Shikarpur, Tangwani
Two people from the same group were killed due to gunshots in armed clash over long-standing enmity between two groups of Brohi tribe in the Kache area of Chak police station in Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police, the victims have been identified as Abdul Jabbar and Khadim Brohi and the bodies are still at the crime scene and the police have reached the spot.
The residents of area said that both groups have taken positions against each other and there is a risk of bloodshed.
Police said a team has been sent to the scene to stop the firing and pick up the bodies.
Meanwhile, a man was killed in a shootout between the Bhiya and Sheikh communities within the limits of Jamal police station in Tangwani.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body of slain Ali Akbar alias Guru Sheikh to the hospital.
Police said the incident between the two groups has taken place over a long-standing dispute over ‘Karakari’.
Tensions remain between the two groups after the incident, fearing more loss of life.
