The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has submitted a calling attention notice for a National Assembly session against the government decision to scale down examinations for classes 10 and 12.
The federal government in consultation with all provinces announced scaling down the exams to just elective subjects for students of secondary and higher secondary classes commencing after July 10 across the country.
However, PML-N leader Saad Rafique has showed reservations about the government decision and moved the notice stating that the issue be taken up at the lower house of the parliament so that it could be resolved.
The students are in deep trouble, the PML-N stressed and said the federal education minister's attention be paid over it.
Without taking students and teachers on board while making such decision may risk the future of youth, it mentioned adding that the syllabus has not gone through fully.
The PML-N leader also took to the social media to raise his concerns over the matter.

Last month Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood told the media after chairing an Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) that the syllabus of matriculation and intermediate level had been reduced in order to facilitate the students.
