Man’s love marriage claim lives of father and brother

A man and his son were shot dead in the Sattukatla area of Lahore over a love marriage issue, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday. 

According to sources, the victims were attacked by four armed assailants who opened fire, killing both on the spot.

The motive behind the double homicide was a reaction to a love marriage undertaken by the deceased man's son, Ahsan.

 Notably, Ahsan was not present at the scene at the time of the attack and thus survived. However, his brother Shamshad, aged 22, along with his father, died at the spot. 

Investigators revealed that Ahsan had married a woman of his choice, a decision that angered the girl’s family.

The attack, allegedly carried out by her relatives, appears to have been an act of revenge. 

The police, after shifting dead bodies to a morgue, have launched an investigation.
