Sania Saeed calls out marriage double standards
Veteran actress Sania Saeed has sparked conversation online after sharing her views on marriage, compromise and emotional abuse during a talk show appearance.
Speaking on the program, Sania Saeed questioned the long standing societal belief that a successful marriage is one in which a person simply continues to compromise and tolerate unhappiness.
According to the actress, no man or woman enters a marriage with the intention of breaking a home.

However, she argued that the structure of many relationships often gives men significantly more freedom than women.
Sania pointed out that men are generally allowed more opportunities to express frustration and process emotions.
She noted that during conflicts, some men may resort to emotional tactics such as gaslighting, constant taunting or simply leaving the house to cool down.
Women, on the other hand, are left with far fewer options.
The actress explained that many women find themselves trapped by multiple factors, including financial dependence, emotional pressure, responsibilities toward children and societal expectations that discourage them from speaking up.
She also highlighted how many couples enter marriage without having enough time to build a deep understanding of one another beforehand, making it even harder to navigate challenges later in life.
On professional note, Sania Saeed is known for her powerful performances in television, theatre and film.
