Tariq Afridi elected PHC bar president

Advocate Tariq Afridi of the Democratic Alliance has been elected as president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) in its annual elections on Saturday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel. 

He secured 985 votes while his main opponent Taif Khan of ILF got 740 votes and Advocate Rehmanullah of Awami National Party’s lawyer wing could get 570 votes. 

Advocate Sawar Khan won the seat of vice president by bagging 1109 votes. Lajabar Khan won as General Secretary, Noor Wali Khan as Joint Secretary, and Nida Khan secured the Finance Secretary seat by a good margin.
