Gold rate jumps by over Rs11,000 in Pakistan; Int'l price rises above $4,600/oz
Gold prices witnessed a significant increase in both international and local markets, reflecting heightened volatility in global trading, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, in the international market, gold rose by 111 US dollars per ounce, reaching 4,666 dollars per ounce.
The sharp increase in global prices directly impacted the local bullion market.
In domestic trading, the price of gold per tola increased by 11,100 rupees in a single day, reaching 488,962 rupees per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by 9,517 rupees to reach 419,206 rupees.
Silver prices also moved upward, with the rate of one tola increasing by 223 rupees to reach 8,072 rupees in the local market.
