Quaid-e-Azam School clinches top honours at Punjab Youth Games Ch'ship 2025

The Punjab Youth Games Inter-School Weightlifting Championship 2025 was held at the National Weightlifting Club, Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday. 

A total of 43 weightlifters from 16 schools participated in the event, with Quaid-e-Azam School emerging as the overall champion.

The championship was inaugurated by Idrees Haider Khawaja, Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Olympic Association, along with Waqar Ali, General Secretary, and Aqeel Javed Butt, General Secretary of the Punjab Weightlifting Association.

According to Sohail Javed Butt, Media Coordinator of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, the winners in various categories were:

First position: Hamid, Yousaf Bilal, Sikandar, Ahsan Shah, Ayan Ali, and Aamir Butt
Second position: Fahir Ali, Muhammad Rafiq, Abdul Hadi, Zeeshan Butt, Umar Farooq, and Muhammad Tahir
Third position: Wali Kamran, Safdar Hussain, and Asher Mehmood

Medals and certificates were awarded to the top performers in recognition of their achievements.

The inter-college weightlifting competitions under the Punjab Youth Games will take place tomorrow at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore, continuing the province’s commitment to promoting sports at the grassroots level.
