PML-N fails to woo, PPP lawmakers stage walk out of Senate session

PPP Senators staged walk out of Senate session on Monday after tearing the copies of the agenda despite the repeated requests of PML-N lawmakers not to do so, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

PML-N Senators Anusha Rehman, Senator Afan Ullah and Amir Chisti failed to woo PPP lawmakers. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq also requested PPP lawmakers and PML-N to settle their issues amicably. 

PTI Senator Ali Zafar addressing the session said two ruling parties PPP and PML-N are fighting for personal interests and both parties have failed to take radical measures for provision of relief to the flood victims. He said flood victim were waiting for the help, many facing hunger and extreme poverty but PPP and PML-N lawmakers were enjoying perks and privileges. 

He said Pasco has been shut down and wheat stocks have ended. He said PTI government will build food stocks and overcome food shortages and funds for PDMA. 

He said it was need of the hour that government announces subsidy in seeds and fertilizers. Senator Ali Zafar demanded that the dams should be repaired immediately and mobile clinics should be set up in flood hit areas.

NA proceedings adjourned till Thursday due to lack of quorum
 

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah Monday adjourned the House proceedings till Thursday due to a lack of quorum.
 
The quorum was pointed out by Member of the National Assembly Nisar Ahmed Jutt. Earlier, the sitting was suspended until the completion of the quorum.
 
After the resumption of the session, the Deputy Speaker ordered a count. Following the count, he announced that the House was not in order and adjourned the proceedings till Thursday.
