Shaheena Baloch slain in Balochistan
She was in prime of her part as champion of women’s rights and journalist

Unidentified persons Saturday shot dead a woman celebrity in Balochistan’s Turbat town, some 797 kilometres away from Quetta.
According to police, they have launched a hunt for the killer of Shaheena Shaheen Baloch. The body bore three gunshot marks, police said. Investigation was underway to solve the mystery. Unconfirmed reports claimed that her husband could be involved in the crime, however no arrest was made.

She was a morning show host at the state-run television, PTV and editor of a Balochi magazine, Dazgohar. The artist was also a women rights' champion.
Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani took to the social media to condemn the murder, calling it ‘extremely unfortunate’ incident. However, he pledged to bring to book the culprits and cooperate the bereaved family.

Police investigators said this might be an honour killing incident however no arrest was made so far. The deceased was reportedly receiving threats. People took to the social media to show solidarity with the family of the deceased and raising demand for justice.
