Toxic gas claims lives of two Wasa employees in Lahore

Two employees of the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) died in a manhole due to the release of poisonous gas at Ghazi Chowk, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to rescue sources, Honey Masih and Mansoor Masih were brothers and employees of the Wasa.

They went into a manhole to clean it, but they died due to the release of poisonous gas in the manhole.

The rescuers pulled their bodies out of the manhole and handed them over to their families.

Woman, son injured in Lahore roof collapse

On the other hand, a woman and her son were injured after the roof of their house collapsed on them in Nawan Kot, Lahore.

Kubra, 46, and his son Majid, 26, were shifted to Ganga Ram Hospital. Rescue 1122 removed the rubble and completed the rescue operation.
