Sindh govt decides to run special Azaadi Train
The Sindh government has decided to run special ‘Azaadi Train’ on the eve of Independence Day from Karachi to Zero Point Tharparkar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
This was decided in a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah.
During the meeting, MD Tourism Fayyaz Shah gave a briefing regarding the Azaadi Train.
It was decided in the meeting that Thar Desert Train Safari will be run under the name of Azaadi Train on the occasion of Independence Day.
The special train will depart from Karachi from August 13 and will reach Karachi on the evening of August 14.
The Azaadi Train will reach Zero Point Tharparkar via Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Umerkot.
Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism said that the special Azaadi Train is being started to celebrate the joys of Independence Day.
Participants of the Azaadi Train will distribute national flags to the public at each station, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said.
He said the train will depart from Karachi Cantt Station on August 13 and reach Chhor Cantt Umerkot in the evening.
Provincial Minister said a musical event has been organized in connection with the event at Parchi Ji Veri,
Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said the next day, the train will reach Khokhrapar Marvi station in the morning where the flag will be hoisted and a cake will be cut and after the ceremony, the train will leave for Karachi.
Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said the aim of the special Azaadi Train is to celebrate the joys of Independence Day in a grand manner.
Civil society, showbiz, political figures, and others will be part of this Azaadi Train, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah added.
He said the entire nation is celebrating the joys of Independence Day and the great success of the struggle for truth from August 1st.
We want to send a message to the world that the Pakistani nation is a united and peaceful nation, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said.
The entire nation salutes the eternal sacrifices of the founders of Pakistan for independence, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah concluded.
