The Punjab government is contemplating closing down private schools in smog-affected districts of the province for a one-month period, starting from December 15, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Opposing any such move, Private Schools’ Alliance, on the other hand, has suggested to the government to change timings of the opening and closure of schools rather than going for their closure.
“Already, we have a delayed start to our academic sessions this year,” Alliance President Sadaqat Hussain Lodhi has said.
