Punjab Weightlifting elects new office-bearers for 4-year term

The Elective General Council Meeting of the Punjab Weightlifting Association (PWLF) Saturday took place at the Punjab Olympic Association Conference Hall, with Jabbran Bin Salman chairing the session. 

Representatives from eight divisional weightlifting associations were in attendance, alongside key figures Hafiz Imran Butt, President of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, and Waqar Ali, General Secretary of the Punjab Olympic Association.

During the meeting, the following office-bearers were unanimously elected for the 2024-2028 term: 

President: Jabbran Bin Salman

General Secretary: Aqeel Javed Butt

Vice Presidents: Amjad Ameen Butt, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Islam Natiq, Muhammad Idrees Butt Muhammad Javed Asghar

Treasurer: Amir Ali

Associate Secretaries: Rashed Nadeem Butt, Naila Maqsood Butt

Executive Members: Nuzhat Jabeen, Amin Farooq, Mariyam Aqeel Butt, Abdul Sattar Rahi, Qaiser Iftikhar, Din Muhammad, Numan Waheed

The event highlighted the commitment of the association to furthering the development of weightlifting in Punjab. The newly elected officials expressed their dedication to promoting the sport and enhancing opportunities for athletes at both divisional and provincial levels.
