Parvez promises housing society for SCBA members

Punjab Acting Governor Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said that his party focused on projects of public welfare whenever it got an opportunity to serve the people.
He was talking to a delegation led by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Vice President Chaudhry Arshad Bajwa that called on him and MNA Moonis Elahi at their residence in Lahore on Sunday. The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
The delegation consisted of Supreme Court Bar General Secretary Rana Shehzad Ahmad Farooq, Executive Members Chaudhry Arif Mehmood and Nasir Siddiqui, Rahim Yar Khan Bar President Chaudhry Manzoor Warraich, Punjab Additional Advocate General Asif Mahmood Cheema and Amir Saeed Raan Advocate.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that free medical facilities were available for the general public as well as lawyers at government hospitals when the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) was in power. He said that these facilities should be available free of cost to all today.
Responding to delegation’s demand for a housing society for members of the Supreme Court Bar, Elahi said the project would be launched soon after consultations with Federal Housing Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema.
Supreme Court Bar Vice President Chaudhry Arshad Bajwa said on this occasion that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi always gave priority to public welfare projects during PML’s tenure.
On this occasion, the delegation invited Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to address the Supreme Court Bar.
