The US dollar on the last day of the trading week suffered a loss of 25 paisas despite a cautious start against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the US dollar closed the day at Rs176.67 in interbank trading after losing 25 paisas in value.

The SBP said there was 0.14 percent appreciation in the value of the Pakistani rupee.

It may be mentioned here that the money market is also in a fix awaiting International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) decision on whether to revive the loan programme for Pakistan in its board meeting on January 12.
