Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday inaugurated a mobile unit that will accept applications for construction of low-cost houses and provide information in this regard, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The mobile unit with the collaboration of the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority and the National Bank of Pakistan would assist in obtaining loans for the construction of low cost houses.
Moreover, this mobile unit under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme would provide a one-window operation.
Initially, the mobile unit will provide its services in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and its suburban areas. Later, other such units would be established all across the country. These mobile units would also help reduce the burden on banks during the coronavirus pandemic.
Prime Minister Imran Khan while appreciating the National Bank’s initiation in the launching of the mobile unit said it was his government priority to provide personal house to every low-income family.
He also stressed the need to make the process of obtaining loans for the construction of homes easy, adding that people should be facilitated in this regard.
