Hulk Hogan died of natural causes, Florida officials confirm

Investigators in the US state of Florida have concluded their investigation into the death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, determining that he died of natural causes and that no criminal activity was involved, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died in July 2025 at the age of 71 after suffering a medical emergency at his residence.

According to the Clearwater Police Department, a detailed investigation found no evidence of foul play, physical violence, poisoning, or any other external factors that may have contributed to his death.

Officials said the case has now been formally closed.

In a statement, police said Hogan's death resulted from a medical emergency and was consistent with natural causes. The official report classified the cause of death as a natural disease-related condition.

Authorities said emergency responders were dispatched to Hogan's home after reports of a sudden emergency.

Paramedics administered CPR at the scene before transporting him to a hospital for treatment.

Despite efforts by doctors to save him, Hogan was pronounced dead.

Officials also confirmed that Hogan's third wife was present at the residence when emergency services arrived.

One of the most recognizable figures in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan helped transform the sport into a global entertainment phenomenon during the 1980s and 1990s, becoming one of the industry's biggest stars despite facing controversies during his career.
