Two arrested for murdering man over Rs4,500 in Lahore

Lahore police claimed to have arrested two suspects accused of killing a man for Rs4,500 in the Zaki Gate area, solving a murder case that had remained unsolved for nearly two months, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

According to police, the suspects allegedly targeted the victim, identified as Asim, to rob him of Rs4,500, which they intended to use to purchase narcotics.

Investigators said the case initially appeared to be a blind murder, with no immediate clues leading to the perpetrators.

However, after weeks of investigation, police were able to trace and arrest the suspects.

The arrested men were identified as Nadeem Abbas and Ghulam Fareed.

Police said the suspects confessed to strangling the victim by placing a rope around his neck during the robbery.

"Both suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to determine additional details surrounding the crime"
