Ahmad Randhawa's take on dating dynamics
Rising Pakistani actor Ahmad Randhawa opened up about his dating experiences, evolving mindset, and views on women’s independence during a candid conversation with Rabia Mughni, winning praise online for his thoughtful perspective on modern relationships.
During the heartfelt discussion, Ahmad reflected on how meeting women during university changed the way he viewed relationships and gender roles.
The actor admitted that growing up in an all boys environment shaped certain traditional beliefs, which later shifted after hearing different life experiences from female friends.
Speaking in Urdu, Ahmad Randhawa stated:
“Mein jab university mein aya aur pehla exposure hua, mein all boys mein tha O Levels aur A Levels mein. Jab larkiyon se mila aur unki stories sunne ko mili to pata laga ke kitni sari cheezein hum ghalat karte hain, hamara mindset ghalat hai about women.”
He further shared:
“Meri ek dost thi, aur university tak meri soch yeh thi ke I’m the provider, I’m the head of the family. Mein paise kama ke launga aur meri wife ko kaam karne ki zaroorat nahi hogi. Mujhe lagta tha ke agar meri biwi paison ke liye kaam kare to yeh sharam ki baat hai kyunke yeh meri zimmedari hai.”
(When I entered university and interacted with women for the first time, I realised many societal attitudes toward women were flawed. He admitted he once believed a man should solely provide for the family and that his future wife would not need to work. However, over time, he understood that careers are not just about money, they are also tied to passion, personal identity, and financial independence).
He added that even if someone already has wealth, they may still choose to work because it fulfills them personally. Ahmad further emphasised that no one has the right to decide whether a woman should work or not, calling that mindset problematic.
The actor’s honest take on dating dynamics and evolving perspectives quickly resonated with social media users, many appreciating his maturity and self-awareness.
