The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared that the local body elections due to be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa next month will be held as per schedule, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

An ECP spokesman on Sunday appealed to the public not to pay any attention to misleading and baseless reports in this regard.

Strongly rejecting reports about deferment of LB elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ECP spokesman said there is no truth in news reports being uploaded on social media about postponement of elections.

He said the LB elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held as per schedule on December 19.

He appealed public not to share such fake news with others.
