Shehbaz Sharif asserts NS to return on Oct 21, face law and constitution

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is set to return to Pakistan on Oct 21 and uphold the rule of law and the Constitution, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

" Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on Oct 21 by the will of Allah," Shehbaz said, stressing that the question regarding his return shouldn't be repeated.

Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the media in Lahore on Friday, stated that his party's legal team had given the green light for Nawaz's return to Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif has been in self-imposed exile in London since 2019.

 “We saved this state at the cost of our politics,” the former prime minister emphasized. He highlighted that the PML-N had served the nation efficiently despite facing numerous challenges and limited resources.

He also accused the PTI of attempting to damage the state for personal gain, alleging that a mutiny against Pakistan and its armed forces occurred on May 9.

Reflecting on his 16-month tenure as prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif discussed the challenges faced by the coalition government, including a fragile economy and devastating floods. He mentioned that the PML-N government had to navigate challenging negotiations with the IMF but managed to reach an agreement.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the PML-N's track record of helping the needy, including the Ramazan Package and a youth package worth billions of rupees in the budget. He reassured the public, stating, "There is no need to be worried as the good times are just around the corner."

 He reiterated his elder brother Nawaz Sharif's commitment to return and face the law and Constitution, emphasizing that it was now confirmed.

Shehbaz Sharif also announced that Nawaz Sharif would unveil his plan to transform the country's future at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 21, setting the stage for a significant political event in Pakistan.
