Five terrorists were killed in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan as security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.  

The security forces also arrested another 10 terrorists in the operation, as the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said one of them, Wasim Zakariya, was the mastermind of 30 terror hits conducted since early 2019. He hailed from Haider Khel, an area located Mir Ali.

It is reported that the notorious terrorist ringleader was directly involved in several targeted killings, including the martyrdom of a senior civil servant belonging to the Dawar tribe. Moreover, he was also among those attacking an army convoy near Hassu Khel – a village near Mir Ali.
