IGP Dr Usman Anwar meets head of Italian Police Cooperation 

Inspector-General of Punjab (IGP) Police Dr Usman Anwar held a detailed meeting with the head of International Police Cooperation, Italy, Major General Luigi Landoli, in Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
During the meeting, both personalities discussed various measures to curb anti-terrorism, narcotics, and human smuggling.
Both the dignitaries agreed to enhance criminal information sharing, the police and traffic management systems.
The senior officers of the Punjab police apprised the Italian police head about IT-based latest applications, systems, and reforms.
Both sides agreed to expedite police training and share available benefits from each other's experiences in different fields.
Talking on the occasion, Dr Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police established various centres for the safety and protection of women, children, transgender people, and people from lower segments of society.
The head of the Italian police praised the performance of the Punjab police for public service delivery, organised crimes, and rooting out terrorism from society.
Both dignitaries exchanged honorary shields with each other. The Italian delegation comprises the Regional Counter Narcotics Coordinator, Italian State Police Special Forces, Border Police, and Immigration and International Police Organisations.
Additional Inspector-General of Police Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhary, DIG Right Management Police, SSP CTD, AIG Operations, AIG Administration, AIG Discipline, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
