CM Naqvi orders immediate launch of Mera Pyara app

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has ordered to immediately launch “Mera Pyara” app designed to reunite the lost children and people with their families, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A meeting was held at the CM Office in Lahore on Saturday under the chair of Chief Minister Naqvi to review the progress on "Mera Pyara" app. Under the direction of the chief minister, a record management system has been developed for the app.
Naqvi ordered steps to launch the "Mera Pyara" app immediately and directed that the app should be made foolproof and as authentic as possible.
During the briefing, it was informed that a special child or a person can also be registered on the "Mera Pyara" app if he is gone missing. A report could also be launched on the app about a missing child or a missing person. In this way, the search for missing and recovered children will be possible through this app.
In the briefing, it was further informed that 2,629 missing children have been registered in Punjab while 259 children have been recovered and 25 missing children have been successfully reunited with their families.
If illiterate people can’t write a report on the app, they can go to the police front desk, shelter home and police service center to lodge their report. The missing children or persons can be reunited with their families through their photos, color, race and fingerprints. In the last stage, the DNA test of the parents and missing children would be conducted.
Provincial ministers Amir Mir, Dr Jamal Nasir, chief secretary, IG police, Lahore CCPO, primary & secondary health secretary, Punjab Forensic Science Agency DG, DIG operations, chief traffic officer, Punjab Safe Cities Authorities MD, Child Protection Bureau Welfare Bureau DG and other concerned authorities participated in the meeting.
