Federal cabinet to meet today to review changes in petroleum prices after ceasefire

A crucial meeting of the federal cabinet will be held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to review the evolving situation in the Middle East and its implications for Pakistan, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to sources, the meeting will focus on recent developments following the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, with the prime minister expected to take cabinet members into confidence regarding the latest regional dynamics.

Shehbaz Sharif will also brief the cabinet on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts that contributed to the ceasefire, outlining Islamabad’s role in facilitating dialogue and de-escalation between the two sides.

The meeting will further review the country’s petroleum reserves and the availability of fuel supplies in light of recent fluctuations in global oil markets.

Sources said that a possible adjustment in petroleum product prices will also be discussed during the session.
