December 8, 2020 02:57 AM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his resolve to continue the accountability campaign even if he does not remain the premier.

“They (opposition leaders) know nothing about me. I won’t make a compromise on the ongoing accountability campaign,” he said while chairing a meeting with his aides on Monday.

He said the opposition leaders put people in danger in a bid to escape the anti-corruption drive launched by his government to retrieve looted public money.

The prime minister said their family went abroad and they were using the countrymen to show ‘so-called strength’, Imran Khan said, adding that such people have a history of leaving their supporters in the lurch.

They wanted the government to stop them from holding the rallies nut such meetings matter nothing, the PM said stressing that he feels strong concerns for the public in wake of the second wave of Covid-19.

The persons who are providing services to the opposition for rallies will face the music, he said adding that they would be booked. About Firdous Ashiq Awan’s karate and football shoot, he said he thought her post in Lahore made her more active and the PTI members should show the same zeal,
