Maryam Nawaz's son Junaid to tie the knot again

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s son Junaid Safdar is set to marry again, as a new match has been finalised, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

According to sources, Junaid Safdar’s marriage has been arranged with the granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar.

 She is the daughter of Ali Rohail Asghar, making the union one between two prominent political families.

Sources said PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and the Sharif family have given their approval for the marriage.

The wedding is expected to take place either in the last week of December or in January.

Insiders further revealed that a formal event involving both the Sharif and Sheikh Rohail families has already been held as part of the preparations.

This will be Junaid Safdar’s second marriage.

He was previously married to Ayesha Saif, the daughter of former NAB chairman and Qatar-based industrialist Saifur Rahman Khan.

The couple divorced amicably in October 2023.

Junaid’s first wedding took place in London in 2021 at The Lanesborough, located in Knightsbridge, when Nawaz Sharif was in exile.
