Mohsin Naqvi, Murtaza Wahab discuss Karachi’s readiness for Tri-Nations series and Champions Trophy

 Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab Saturday praised the efforts of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi for making timely arrangements for the upcoming tri-nation series and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 

During the first match of the tri-nation series between Pakistan and New Zealand at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab met Mohsin Navi and hailed the stadium as one of the most beautiful cricket venues in the world. 

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi also briefed Murtaza Wahab about the Karachi National Stadium. 

The meeting focused on ensuring seamless match organization at the National Stadium Karachi and improving facilities for cricket fans. 

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for its full support in facilitating international cricket events. 

In return, Murtaza Wahab praised Naqvi’s efforts in revitalizing cricket venues, especially the swift transformation of Gaddafi Stadium.

Both Mohsin Naqvi and Murtaza Wahab watched the Pakistan-New Zealand match together, marking the successful launch of the tri-nation series.

 Wahab lauded the record-time completion of Gaddafi Stadium’s renovation, stating, "Truly, Mohsin Speed is visible in cricket as well!"

He further applauded Naqvi, saying, "Well done, Mohsin Naqvi! Seeing the world-class Gaddafi Stadium today is a delight." 

He credited Naqvi for making Gaddafi Stadium one of the most beautiful cricket venues globally and congratulated him on the vibrant opening ceremony.

Mohsin Naqvi said, "The challenging and complex work spanning from October 10 to February 7 has concluded in a remarkable and memorable way. “I sincerely thank everyone who stood by me in this journey."

Naqvi also expressed profound gratitude, stating, "No amount of thanks to Almighty Allah is enough for this achievement."
