PTI Balochistan holds APC on province’s security situation

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan organized an All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad to deliberate on the prevailing political, constitutional and law and order situation in Balochistan.

The conference was attended by leaders of various political parties, lawyers, representatives of civil society and other prominent personalities. Participants held detailed discussions on the challenges facing Balochistan, including peace and security, constitutional supremacy, democratic stability and the protection of citizens’ rights.

The participants emphasized the need for ensuring lasting peace, upholding the Constitution, strengthening democratic institutions and addressing the genuine concerns of the people of Balochistan through dialogue and constitutional means. The conference concluded with a consensus on the importance of political consultation and cooperation among democratic forces to promote peace, stability and the rule of law in the province.

The Save Balochistan All Parties Conference (APC) declared their concern over alleged human rights violations, deteriorating security and enforced disappearances in Balochistan, calling for the restoration of political, constitutional, and human rights.

The APC condemned the arrests of political workers, opposed the Mines and Minerals Act and alleged illegal allotments and said the people of Balochistan should have the first right over the province's natural resources.

The conference called for the immediate recovery of missing persons, the release of political prisoners, protection of press freedom and an end to retaliatory actions against political activists.

It also urged the government to resolve Balochistan's issues through political dialogue, address border trade and unemployment concerns, fulfill its commitments to the province and consult all political stakeholders to ensure lasting peace.
