Prince Harry mocked over

Prince Harry has become the subject of widespread ridicule after expressing hopes that his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, might one day return to the royal fold and take up active roles within "Crown Inc."

The biting critique came from royal commentator Daniela Elser, who penned a sharply worded piece for News.com.au, skewering Harry’s apparent belief that despite years of royal estrangement and explosive revelations, his children could still choose to embrace the monarchy.

Elser didn’t hold back, branding the Duke of Sussex a “royal refugee” who has profited handsomely by tearing down the institution he was born into.

“He reportedly thinks that – despite having earned tens of millions of dollars rubbing his family and laying bare the inequities and humiliations of monarchy, and despite his kids having been to the UK once in the last five years – his kids could one day become paid-up, front-row members of Crown Inc.,” she wrote, dripping with sarcasm.

The columnist compared Harry’s vision for Archie and Lilibet to “a committed vegan considering whether their adored offspring might one day get into farm-to-table butchery” — a metaphor that quickly gained traction online for its absurdity and brutal humor.

She also referenced the infamously cringe-worthy 1987 royal TV flop It’s a Royal Knockout, joking that Harry’s dream is perhaps the most outlandish royal idea since Prince Edward’s disastrous game show venture.

“This is madness,” Elser declared, mocking the idea of young royals being handed “a few lighthouse-related outings or some mid-tier Midlands military patronages” after years of California living.

For context, Prince Harry has long maintained that granting HRH titles to his children was intended to give them the freedom to choose their future paths — whether within or outside the royal sphere — once they’re older.

But if Elser’s words are anything to go by, that idea is being met with raised eyebrows, scoffing headlines, and a whole lot of royal side-eye.
