The death toll from four-storey residential building collapse in Karachi’s Rizvia Society rose to 26 on Sunday as rescue works pulled out three more bodies.

Bodies of three women were taken out who were identified as Ishrat Bibi, Kausar Jahan and Dr Ghazala.

The rescue operation continued for a fourth straight day on Sunday with authorities barring families of the missing from going near the building as they continued to look for their loved ones.

 Meanwhile, 32 victims are being given medical treatment at various hospitals.

Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officials have claimed “weak foundation” as the cause of the building’s collapse.
