PTI lawmakers call on National Assembly speaker
Asad assures visitors of acting in accordance with the constitution

The key lawmakers of ruling Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) called on National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser Tuesday.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, a strategy to thwart the opposition's bid to topple the government by bringing in a no-trust motion came under discussion during the meeting.
The key government figures including Imran Ismail, Fawad Hussain, Murad Saeed, Farrukh Habib, Faisal Javed, and Shehzad Wasim had the discourse.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allies are united to thwart the opposition's no-confidence motion.
The national assembly speaker said he would not take any illegal step. “Bringing in no-confidence motion is the opposition’s right, he said adding that he would act in accordance with the constitution.
The joint opposition has submitted its no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan at the National Assembly Secretariat.
PML-N leaders Ayaz Sadiq, Saad Rafiq, and Marriyum Aurangzeb submitted the motion at the National Assembly Secretariat. And they were not alone, PPP's Shazia Marri, Alia Kamran, and Naveed Qamar and JUI's Shahida Akhtar Ali accompanied them.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser was not present in his chamber when the Opposition leaders landed there.
Due to the speaker’s absence, the opposition leaders handed over the no-trust motion under Article 95 clause 1 to Additional Secretary Legislation Muhammad Mushtaq in the National Assembly Secretariat.
