Two dacoits gunned down in Quetta police encounter
Two dacoits were killed and eight were arrested in injured condition during different police encounters in Quetta and Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The first police encounter took place near the Qali Khali area of Hazra Town in Quetta, in which two dacoits were killed during a heavy exchange of fire with the police.
Later, police shifted the dead bodies of the dacoits to the hospital for post-mortem.
Eight dacoits arrested in Gujranwala
As many as eight dacoits were arrested during six police encounters in different areas of Gujranwala.
A drug-peddler was arrested in injured condition when a police team of Dhalay Police Station raided a location and arrested the accused Qalab-e-Abbas and recovered more than 15 kilograms of hashish from his possession.
In another police encounter in the Police Station Satellite Town a drug peddler was arrested while fleeing. Police recovered 12 kilograms of charas from his possession.
In a police encounter, two accused, namely Adeel and Azeem alias Juma Khan, were arrested. Police recovered a motorcycle and two pistols from their custody.
Another police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Wazirabad Police Station, in which an accused, Adnan, was arrested while he was trying to escape. Police recovered 1340 grams of hashish.
District Police Officer (DPO) Kamoke constituted different police teams who established various pickets at the main entry and exit points of the city.
CPO Dr Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan said that operations against drug peddlers' dacoities will continue.
