Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has taken the lead in the local bodies by-election in the Sindh capital Karachi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reports.

The unofficial results of 9 UCs of 11 have been received, showing the PPP won five UC seats followed by Jamaat-e-Islami with four and the result of two seats are pending.

As per the unofficial results, of 15 wards, PPP secured seven, Jamaat-e-Islami, 5 PTI 2 and the PML-N one. The party leadership expressed his gratitude to workers for the triumph. Greeting the party workers, Bilalwal said the by-elections proved that the people reposed trust in the PPP. 

This success is the result of the trust of the people, the sacrifices of the martyred leaders and workers and the hard work of the Jiyalas.
