Death of 9-year-old domestic worker sparks murder inquiry in Lahore
In a distressing incident, the hanged body of a 9-year-old domestic worker was discovered in the Angoori Bagh scheme within the limits of the Baghbanpura police area, Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The local police after taking possession of the body have initiated an investigation, focusing on the possibility of foul play leading to the child's death.
The victim, identified as 9-year-old Ehsan of Khudian Khas, Kasur district and was employed by a property dealer.
The investigation was prompted by a complaint lodged by Nawab Bibi, the grieving mother of the child, who expressed suspicions of murder.
In response to her urgent application, the police registered a case of murder.
According to the plaintiff, her son had been in the employment of Sheikh Zeeshan for a period of four years and seven months.
The family was allowed to meet Ehsan only once during this extended duration.
In a shocking turn of events, the plaintiff alleges that the accused brutally killed her son after a heinous assault and subsequently claimed that Ehsan had taken his own life.
Furthermore, the child's mother contends that the accused swiftly moved the body to the mortuary before the family's arrival, raising additional concerns about the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
The police have assured a comprehensive investigation into various aspects of the case, with the hope of obtaining clarity through the post-mortem report.
