Asia Cup trophy not on ICC board meeting agenda: Sources

The issue of the Asia Cup trophy was not part of the official agenda during the recent International Cricket Council (ICC) Board meetings, sources revealed.

According to insiders, no formal discussion took place on the matter during the scheduled sessions of the board meetings.

However, on the sidelines of the discussions, a few member nations informally raised concerns, emphasizing that the ongoing trophy dispute should be resolved soon.

Sources further disclosed that Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi also expressed a willingness to address the issue, stating that, “We want this matter to be resolved amicably.”

In a gesture of support, the ICC reportedly offered assistance in facilitating a settlement between the concerned parties.

However, sources confirmed that no official committee has been formed to look into the trophy issue so far.

All conversations related to the Asia Cup trophy reportedly took place informally during breaks in the ICC Board meetings, rather than in the formal proceedings.
